RSPCA: Science, ethics and animals

RSPCA Education asked me to step in and join the team as writer for its new teaching resource for GCSE science students. This involved working with the Society's own teachers, editors, technical staff, science officers and web agency to research and write all the copy. We needed to make sure everything on the site is relevant and interesting for young people, scientifically correct, on-message for the RSPCA and linked to the National Curricula for England and Wales. The result is a resource that gained masses of positive feedback at the 2010 ASE conference for science teachers and educationalists. You can check out the site at www.science-ethics-animals.org.uk

"Jude was consultant editor on RSPCA Education's project to produce a science interactive resource for use by secondary school students. Jude's ability to take our raw content ideas to produce text of a consistently high standard, which was age and subject-appropriate, has been a major contributing factor to the success of this education resource."
Chris Holmes, National Education Manager, RSPCA.
