When the University of Leeds carried out a large, nationwide project to develop standards of care for people with arthritis and foot problems, it produced a lengthy report aimed at professionals. I was asked to summarise and present the information in a form that would guide patients and service users. I wrote, set out, and even starred on the front cover of this easy-read leaflet, which was checked and approved by lay readers.
